We understand that the first question most would-be customers have is How much does it COST? So here's the straight dope:
The cheapest way to get a working website online (other than building one yourself) is to go for our Wordpress installation option with your choice of Wordpress theme ready installed. It's ready to go and just needs you to add some content. Buy our Fledgling hosting package for $90 / year and we'll set you up with Wordpress for $120.
If you want a unique site built from scratch, we have long and varied experience of building websites. Here's an idea of what it costs:
Lower limit: very simple sites with a few pages and a menu system - just the basics to get a smart, well-designed website - start around $300 to $350 (Canadian).
Medium range: a lot of our customers want something a bit more extensive and with a few snazzier features, without breaking the bank. These usually come in around the $500 to $800 range.
Upper limit: We charge an hourly rate for all design/tech. work so there's potentially no upper limit, especially if you wanted something that involved a lot of bespoke scripting. But in reality, most people's needs can now be fully met through customizing existing script packages. If you wanted an online store, an auction site, a small ads site, a discussion forum, a gallery site .. there are plenty of pre-made packages for all these purposes (and just about everything else you can think of). So rather than reinvent the wheel, chances are we can just adapt and customize one of these to suit your needs. A modest customizing job is likely to be around the $500 to $700 mark, a pretty extensive one around $1,000. If you're really getting ambitious, perhaps $1,500 to $2,000.

On top of all these prices, you have the cost web hosting (a physical home for your website). With us the standard package is $90 per year, but you don't have to be hosted with us if you prefer an alternative or have an existing site hosted elsewhere. You also have the cost of an annual domain name registration, currently $10.50 to $21.50 with us, depending on the extension type (.com, .ca, .net etc)
